Every nanny we present has verified childcare references and has been met by us in person. For families who travel or wish for a governess, we look for formal qualifications, languages and experience abroad.

A nanny looks after the children's day: their safety, their routines and their wellbeing, in step with how your family lives.

In a Swiss household that usually means school and nursery runs, meals, play and homework, time outdoors, and a steady line of communication with the parents. Some families want a live-in nanny; many prefer set hours and a live-out arrangement. A governess takes a more formal part in the children's education, often across languages and while travelling.
